A New Friendship

"Ever since I was little, everyone told me that my wish to bring back the sea was impossible. A hopeless dream. And even though I kept wishing, I believed them. But somehow....after meeting you....I feel a ray of hope...."

Frieda interacting with a young female sharkon who she soon starts a strong friendship with. In this project, after the Great Drought dried up the sea, Sharkons were thought to be extinct along with the rest of sea wildlife, until Frieda finds one in a cliff cave in her mountain. Could this be the only living sharkon or did their kind somehow survive....? After meeting her every day, bringing food and just spending time with each other, they quickly bond. I might go into detail later in future drawings if I can. <83
With Frieda's sharkon, I wanted her to have a name from a mythological figure associated with the sea. So after spending a few days looking up sea goddesses and looking up sea based female names, I decided to call her Pallas after the warrior sea nymph in Greek mythology that was friends with Athena and (I think) the daughter of Triton and the granddaughter of Poseiden and Amphitrite. I'm not sure if it'll be her permanent name, so if anyone knows any other names of sea based names based on any mythological sea goddess, then please feel free to let me know.

I took a photo of the drawing and adjusted the lighting on Photoshop before colouring and editing it. This image was inspired by a poster of the first How To Train Your Dragon film and their bonding scene. www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl… I was even listening to Forbidden Frienship from the soundtrack while colouring this. This was supposed to look like a sunset, but obviously I failed. <8DD;;;; But despite that, I'm happy with how this pic turned out.
